Group projects at school

Group projects is an evil idea that teachers came up with during the wee hours during a teachers convention. When they were all drunk. To get back at the smart kids. Because they were not the smart kids. Because who do you think does all the work in the "group" projects?
The teacher who came up with the idea was the one who took far too many sociology courses in college and thought that a widespread sociology experiment was in order. This is the same teacher who was the most drunk.
Group projects should be outlawed.

  1. Hi Brenda! I was just reading your fun blog this afternoon and came across this post. Can I just say a big AMEN?! M had to do a group project recently for school. It would have taken hours if they'd done it the way the teacher told them to. (And of course I had to be the parent who organized the group time and hosted.) After a couple hours of getting nowhere I had the three divvy up the research and take the reports home to write. One kid never did his and it brought down the grade of all three. Grrrrr!
